AvaFin has appointed Agnieszka Ziolek as its new Group Head of Legal — a strategic addition to the leadership team as the company continues to strengthen its legal and regulatory framework across the Group.
Agnieszka Ziolek is a qualified Legal Advisor with more than 15 years of experience at the intersection of law, finance and business. She has advised financial institutions, investment funds and other regulated entities on complex legal and regulatory matters, combining strong legal expertise with a clear business perspective.
Before joining AvaFin, Agnieszka held senior positions in both professional services and the financial sector, including Partner at Deloitte Legal Poland, Member of the Supervisory Board of Pekao TFI, and Counsel at CMS Cameron McKenna. Her professional work has also been recognised by leading international legal directories, including Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500. Alongside her professional practice, she lectures in law and management at Kozminski University and is a visiting lecturer at SGH Warsaw School of Economics and Lazarski University in Warsaw.
As Group Head of Legal, Agnieszka Ziolek reports directly to the Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will be responsible for legal affairs and legal risk across the Group.
She will lead the Group legal function and work closely with local legal teams to further develop a strong and effective legal framework across AvaFin.
The appointment reflects AvaFin’s broader commitment to sound governance and its ambition to build a legal framework that keeps pace with the company’s growth.
